Ritz Motel Namusera ("Ritz Motel", "we", "us") operates this website to provide information about our accommodation, bar & restaurant, and to allow guests to make enquiries, bookings, and leave reviews. We are based at Kampala-Hoima Road, Namusera, Wakiso, Uganda.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you interact with this website:

Reviews: Your name, general location (e.g. city), star rating, and review text — submitted voluntarily and displayed publicly on the Reviews page.
Bookings & Enquiries: Your name, phone number, preferred room, dates, and number of guests — sent to us via WhatsApp when you use a booking button or form.
Chat with Nina: Messages you type into our AI assistant "Nina" are sent to Anthropic (the AI provider) to generate a reply. We do not ask Nina for sensitive personal information, and you should avoid sharing any.
Payments (where available): If you pay via Mobile Money or card, your phone number and transaction details are processed by our payment partner (Flutterwave) and the relevant mobile network operator (MTN/Airtel) — we do not store your full payment details ourselves.

To display guest reviews publicly to help future guests
To provide automated answers via our Nina chat assistant

Supabase — stores submitted reviews
Anthropic — powers the Nina chat assistant
WhatsApp (Meta) — used for booking and enquiry messages
Google Maps — displays our location
Flutterwave & Mobile Network Operators — process payments, where applicable

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices. We only share the minimum information needed for them to perform their function.

5. Your Rights

Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act (2019), you have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, request corrections, or request that a review you submitted be removed. To do so, contact us using the details below.

6. Data Retention

Reviews remain published until you request removal. Booking enquiries sent via WhatsApp follow WhatsApp's own retention practices. We do not retain payment card or mobile money details — these are handled directly by our payment partners.

7. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
